Elton has added five shows to his farewell tour Down Under next year.
The concerts will be held in Newcastle (at McDonald Jones Stadium on Jan. 10, 2023; Melbourne (AAMI Park three nights later); Sydney (Allianz Stadium on the 18th); and Brisbane (Suncorp Stadium on the 21st of January) in Australia, as well as in Christchurch, New Zealand. The latter is set for the 24th of the month at Orangetheory Stadium.
These dates are in addition to two rescheduled gigs at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on January 27 and 28, 2023.

When the trek wraps, according to billboard.com/australia-nz/, Elton will have played 233 concerts in Australia, the third most for the music legend outside the UK and U.S.
